Krafty, Kraig, Kringle, and Dynamite: Friday Nov 25 at Celebs!

Krafty Kuts,Dynamite MC , Kraig & Spin Kringle Bring The Funk this Friday at Celebrities

I am happy to report on this cool thing thats happening this Friday. Funky Vancouver Bass Music is back again with the Breakbeat Lebron Mr. Krafty Kuts. Actually Krafty is more like a Jordan. This time he is rolling through the Wetcoast with Dynamite MC. courtesy of the lovely people at Twisted Events.

When I first got into the scene I remember one of my first all time dubstep faves being the Dirtyphonics remix of Krafty Kuts and Dynamite MC - "Poundin'". Fast forward a few years and me and Spin Kringle are funky selektas, and Spin Kringle does his own spin on "Poundin" . That was about a year ago and I remember when the funk started to leave my veins I hit up Kraig and was like, dude, you gotta book this Spin Kringle guy. Now we get to see "Poundin'" performed in front of our VERY OWN EYES THIS FRI!

A little more about Mr. Kringle: just over a year ago he was a complete stranger to me, but one Facebook message out of nowhere changed everything. He had just moved to town and he wanted a crew to funk out with. He was a breath of fresh air into the crew as lots of us had been doing the industry grind for quite a while and he had enough pizzazz to light up the room even when someone turned the lights off and pulled down the black out blinds. He even turned my depressing rap song into a funky fresh tune with ironic lyrics:

His face is next to "life of the party" in the dictionary.

He quickly took initiative in the crew and became the co-host of our radio show "The Wetcoast Overcast" on Dubplate.fm This guy's productions are full of that same energy . He also buckled down and took the time to learn Turntablism under the mentorship of none other than Mr. Slynk.

Spin Kringle is a Funky Bass Music DJ Inhabiting Vancouver, we are lucky to have him in the Wetcoast Beats crew

Monsieur Kringle got to carry the funky Wetcoast torch and he his still runnin' laps around all of us as he brings the funk mentality where-ever he goes. I am happy that he continues the spirit as I feel the funk has left me. Keep it fraiche, keep it funky; Mr. Kringle.

Before I end this I also have to thank Twisted Productions from the bottom of my heart for giving me so many opportunities in the past. I got to open for Deekline on New Years, and Stickybuds on Halloween, two of my greatest memories as a DJ to date. Kraig, Azim, Alvi, Rohan, and Ben, I really admire the way you guys have run your company and I'm so glad you see the value in collaboration. You have always been friends of the WetcoastBeats Crew and you will continue to be, so long as u keep bookin' Mr Claus.

Oh ya, Krafty Kuts and Dynamite MC. Do they need to be written about more? I literally mean no offense but this blog is about Vancouver Bass Music, the goal is to highlight the openers and tell their stories. This is nothing against Krafty Kuts, I love his chunes. As I mentioned earlier, he's totally the Michael Jordan of breakbeats, and call Dynamite his Pippin'. If it weren't for him, there probably wouldnt be a bunch of the funky artists who exist today. He is one of the foundational artists of the Fractal Forest at Shambhala , a place that has touched every funkers life.

His work speaks for itself, so I am going to end on that note and embed his latest mix right hurr
